Ukraine is adding 14 new categories to the international Register of Damages, enabling individuals, businesses and the state to file claims for reparations directly through the Diia portal.
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution allowing the full list of categories in the international Register of Damages to be used. This will make it possible to submit claims for harm caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine as soon as the new functions are technically implemented in Diia.
Expanded Opportunities for Businesses
Companies will gain broader tools to protect their interests. They will be able to register damage or destruction of cultural assets, report costs of relocation and evacuation, and submit claims for humanitarian expenses and other economic losses.
Gradual Roll-out
The Ministry of Digital Transformation emphasises that the new categories will appear in Diia gradually, once technical work is completed. Each new service will be announced separately. The aim is to ensure that every affected party can record the damage suffered and take part in the process of securing reparations from the aggressor state.
