Accelerating Interceptor Drone Development
One of the core missions of Brave1 Dataroom is to enhance technologies for automatic detection and interception of aerial targets, particularly strike UAVs such as Shaheds. Developers work with unique visual and thermal datasets collected in real conditions — across weather scenarios, times of day and sensor types. These datasets significantly improve target recognition accuracy, reduce system reaction times and boost the overall effectiveness of autonomous interceptor drones. Proof of success: new generation drones are already autonomously downing Shaheds, with one Brave1 participant automating 95% of the interception process.
Current AI Tasks at the Front
Dozens of AI-enabled and computer-vision systems are already integrated into frontline operations, performing critical tactical and strategic functions:
- Autonomous control: Guiding UAVs without GPS and under hostile electronic warfare.
- Analytics and reconnaissance: Automated analysis of intelligence data, detecting camouflaged enemy troops and equipment.
- Fire support: Managing autonomous firing positions.
- Forecasting: Analysing battlefield conditions and modelling enemy actions within the DELTA ecosystem.
Strategic Plans and International Partnerships
Ukraine aims to equip 100% of frontline UAVs with machine vision and AI. To achieve this, foreign partners are actively engaged through expanding collaboration formats such as Avengers Labs. This project enables developers to train their own AI algorithms on millions of annotated frames captured during real combat sorties.
